Novella- Coming Soon!

Happy Almost Spring!!

I know it's been a little while since my last post, but I've been busy writing a novella the past month or so and now I'm in the process of editing. As a writer, it can sometimes be hard to balance all the irons in the fire. But then, that's just life in general for most of us, isn't it?

I'm excited that this novella may be part of a series! I haven't decided on the name of the series as of yet, but the working title for Novella 1 is "Among my Souvenirs".

What is it about, you ask? :)

Well, just as with my debut novel, The Sentimental Journey, this story is set in a small town, only this time in the present time.

Bethany is a young college graduate who seems to be going no where with her life. Living with her parents and working a retail job she finds less than rewarding, she begins to sink into depression as she drifts aimlessly- and further away from her walk with God.

To make matters worse, her high school sweetheart has suddenly returned to town. He was "the one who got away" and she's completely thrown of guard- especially when he shares some news she's not ready to hear.

If it wasn't for her close-knit group of friends helping her through everything, she'd feel even more like a train wreck. As it is, she's barely holding herself together, especially since everywhere she turns, she keeps running into David.

She knows she needs a fresh start and that means getting as far away from her small town as she possibly can.- and fast. In the meantime, she knows God is leading her back to Him. Through all her turmoil and life-changing decisions, she beings to learn that "starting over" doesn't always look the way she expected.

I hope it will be ready for publication sometime before the end of Spring so stay tuned!!

For now, God bless each of you as you remember you're greatly loved. The God who created the universe is never alarmed by anything in the news or in our personal lives. He is greater- and we can trust Him.
